Can you layer stroke and coat?
You get great coverage, even when applying light colors over dark colors. Stroke & Coat does not run or bleed, regardless of how it is applied. Colors can be layered or butted up against other colors. Use for precise design work or layered with other glazes for majolica projects.
Can you use stroke and coat on wet clay?

Can you glaze over Underglazes?
But you can put a clear glaze on any of them. However, you can apply the clear glaze right over the top of the underglaze without a firing between. This is best done if you applied your underglaze to bisque, because greenware can absorb glaze and crack.
Will stroke and coat stick to kiln shelf?
Normally underglaze does not stick to the kilns shelf when it is fired. However, this depends on the kind of underglaze you are using and how you have applied it. Most modern underglaze does contain silica, which melts when it is fired. So, your underglaze may become a bit sticky.
Can you glaze pottery without a kiln?
Do remember that if you don’t have a kiln, you will either have to buy your bisque ware to glaze. Or you will also need to ask the kiln firing service to bisque fire your pottery first. As explained above, and here in this article, most pottery does need to be bisque fired before it’s glazed.

A solid base layer of 2-3 coats of underglaze is important for the color to appear without streaking, but once you’ve got that down, you can use introduce water into the mix and start thinning down your underglaze to create washes.
