For most people in Nassau County, you must apply for a card at the library in the district or village where you live or own property. Once you have a card from your library, it can be used for most services at any NLS member library, as well as online. Each library has its own policies for issuing a library card.

We expect there may be high demand for these cards, so please be patient as we do the best we can to get your digital card to you quickly. Staff will create your online library card as soon as possible and transmit this information to you by email.
