What is DDKC registry?
Established in 2007 the Designer Dogs Kennel Club is a registry for designer/hybrid dogs. Please Note: A hybrid dog is not a BREED, it is a hybrid, which means it is a mix of more than one purebred dog who’s background is known(you know what the parents of the dog were).
Is CKC registration legitimate?
The CKC registry is an open registry, and we have established adequate rules to safeguard the integrity of the registry. CKC registration rules give us the right to investigate any member suspected of registration infractions.
What is the difference between CKC and AKC?
AKC charges for the registration of canines and the registration of litters, while CKC only charges for canine registration and does not charge litter registration fees. CKC offers unique registration services such as Photo Registration, Photo ID Cards, and Picture Pedigrees.
Can Labradoodles be registered?
Any two purebred dogs, registered with the AKC can have their litter registered with the CKC and therefore a first generation labradoodle can be registered without question. The breed falls into the misc. category until the breed is accepted by the CKC as other than misc.
Does the AKC recognize Cavapoos?
Keep in mind that Cavapoos are not an official AKC recognized breed, so appearance, temperament, and health may vary more significantly and with less predictability than an established AKC breed.
Does AKC recognize Pomsky?
Pomskies are not AKC recognized yet. If you’d like to get your Pomsky into AKC sport and obedience competitions, then you can register de-sexed dogs into the Canine Partners program, but it does not give your dog the coveted “AKC Recognition”.
Should I register my dog with CKC?
Question: Can I breed my CKC-registered dog to a dog registered with another canine registry? Answer: If both the sire and dam are owned by the same person, CKC requires that they both be CKC registered. The dam of a litter must ALWAYS be CKC registered.
Can goldendoodles be CKC registered?
Yes, there are many organizations that register Goldendoodles, the Continental Kennel Club (CKC) is our preference with the highest standards and most recognized second to AKC. You may register your Goldendoodle with CKC using the registration application sent home with your puppy.
Does CKC mean purebred?
Yes, while 98% of the registry is made up of purebred dog registrations, CKC does offer its registration services to owners of mixed-breed dogs. Owning a mixed-breed dog is very common today, and CKC wants to be helpful to those dog owners as well.
Are Labradoodles recognized by the CKC?
While Labradoodles aren’t members of the Canadian Kennel Club, there is an association of breeders called the Australian Labradoodle Association of America that maintains a database of more than 20,000 dogs and sets health testing standards.
