Archerfield is owned by Edinburgh-based businessman Kevin Doyle and the entire development has been valued at £55 million. Members are known to include sportsmen Alan Shearer, Ryan Giggs and Ian Botham and former The Commotions bassist turned Guardian golf correspondent Lawrence Donegan.

Site History Archerfield House and the main beech avenue were designed in c. 1730; the present landscape was designed c. 1780, probably by Robert Robinson, and incorporated the flower garden at Dirleton. The two estates became separated in the 20th century.

Dogs are welcome (outside) and a shaded dog tethering place with water is provided. The deli area sells sandwiches on paper plates to take outside which is a nice touch and which in summer will prove popular.
