What is TexShare program?
TexShare is a consortium of Texas libraries joining together to share print and electronic materials, purchase online resources, and combine staff expertise. The TexShare Card is a statewide library card that lets you borrow books and other physical materials from more than 500 libraries across the state!
What does library assigned block mean?
A block indicates some sort of problem with your library account and we will need to check your record to find out what’s going on. Some blocks are automatically placed by the library system. Your account may become blocked because: You owe fines of $5.00 or more. You have a book that is currently overdue.
Is SMU library open to the public?
SMU Library is NOT open to the public. You may want to visit National Library Board (NLB) for your needs. Students from local tertiary institutions who need to use the library, are required to bring along their matriculation card and a referral letter from their librarian.

How long is Dallas Public Library card active?
Cards will be active for 90 days (instead of the customary 30 days). When your home library opens, bring in your picture ID and proof of current address to verify your information and you’ll be able to check out other library materials.
