Which is the best campground at Golden Ears?
Alouette is one of three campsite areas in Golden Ears Park, and a really good one, although a bit of a hike from the water. The only other very slight drawback is the fact that the roads are gravel and can get dusty. Other than that, the campground is near perfect and one of the very best in Metro Vancouver.

Can you swim in Alouette Lake?
Alouette Lake is a popular spot for swimming, windsurfing, water-skiing, canoeing, boating and fishing. The park also has three large campgrounds. Vegetation is typical of the coastal western Hemlock forest of B.C. and the mountainous backcountry is extremely rugged.

By park headquarters, four kilometres in, there is around 18 centimetres of dry snow. By the campgrounds, at the north end of the park, there is at least 20 centimetres of snow.

“Hiking is very popular activity in Golden Ears Park, with trails ranging from short self-guided interpretative walks to long backcountry and mountain climbing treks.” Black bears are uncommon but do reside in the park, so bear-safe camping such as storing food in cars overnight, should be practised.
Can you swim in Gold Creek Falls?
We just hiked this a few days ago, a super easy trail that is more like a walk than a hike. Also good (but cold) swimming/wading around the falls. It is a very busy trail though with all the campers around.

It is a part of the Garibaldi Ranges, and is located in Golden Ears Provincial Park. Originally, the massif was referred to as The Golden Eyries, which became corrupted to Golden Ears in reference to the pointy ears-like shape of the double summit of the mountain now named Golden Ears.
