Will characters come back to Cape May Cafe?
Currently, no characters are present at this location, but the hopes are that character dining will come back to Cape May soon. Disney’s Beach Club Resort is truly a vacation spot. It’s a New England-inspired resort that manages to be both classy and casual.
Is Cape May still all-you-can-eat?
Since dinner at Cape May is still all you care to eat, your server will bring you more of any item you like. There are three dished included for the main course, a seafood boil, lobster mac & cheese, and a turf platter. In summary, the bread and salad were the highlights of the meal while the main dishes fell flat.
Will Cape May go back to buffet?
Guests returning to Cape May Café will find old favorites and new changes, along with its signature service and quality. The restaurant will serve breakfast and dinner, but Minnie’s Beach Bash Character Breakfast and the Seafood-and-More Dinner Buffet will not return at reopening.
What happened to Cape May Zoes?
Across from Convention Hall, Zoe’s Cape Cafe has been replaced by Patty’s SteakOut. According to their Facebook, they’ll be open by the time you read this, serving up breakfast items like crab omelets and french toast, and customizable hoagies and cheesesteaks for lunch and dinner.
Will Chef Mickey’s reopen?
Disney has recently announced that the very popular Chef Mickey’s Dinner will open, with modifications. Chef Mickey’s has been reopened but has not offered dinner. Guests can enjoy a modified Character Breakfast at Chef Mickeys. Seeing your favorite characters isn’t all you can look forward to at Chef Mickey’s!
Does Cape May Cafe have crab legs?
You CAN get crab legs at Cape May Cafe now, but they’re not included in the family-style dinner. Instead, you’ll have to pay extra to get them! While the regular family-style meal is $42 per adult, if you want crab legs you’ll have to pay an extra $29 per pound.
Is Cape May Cafe a family-style?

Is Chef Mickeys worth the price?
We’ve had a lot of experiences in the past of making a plate at the buffet only to look back and see Mickey shuffling past our (empty!) table. Not anymore! Overall, even with that price tag, we DEFINITELY think this spot is worth it if you’ve got kids — or if you’re a kid at heart.

Do you need a mask at Cape May Cafe?
Distancing markers lead to the check-in podium, which has a sheet of Plexiglass on it. Masks are still required indoors until seated in a restaurant. Many tables are left empty or pushed further apart for distancing. The buffet is not currently in use due to safety protocols.
Is the Cape May Cafe at Disney World good?
Cape May Cafe was never one of my favorite dinners at Walt Disney World. It always had a strong odor emitting from it thanks to the seafood offerings, and I always felt like I would wait ages behind people at the rather small buffet station.
