Are we getting extra food stamps in September 2021?
The extra food stamp benefits for September 2021 are part of the Emergency Allotment (EA) Program. This means that recipients receiving food stamp benefits in approved states will receive extra food stamp benefits for the month. SNAP EBT cardholders will receive the maximum benefit amount for their household size.

Why did I get an extra $95 in food stamps?
If you DO NOT ordinarily receive the maximum amount for your household size, and the Emergency Allotment supplements you’ve been receiving each month are less than $95, your supplement will increase to $95 (on top of your regular benefit amount) for each month that SNAP Emergency Allotments are federally approved.
