What network does Oscar insurance use?
While your Oscar plan covers preventive lab testing, they must be processed by Quest Diagnostics (our preferred partner) or another in-network laboratory to be covered. The next time you’re scheduled for an appointment, be sure to ask your doctor’s office to send your labs to Quest.
Is Oscar a marketplace plan?

Is Oscar an HMO or PPO?
Network. A hybrid of the HMO and PPO model, Oscar will be offering EPOs. EPOs work similar to an HMO in that they only cover in-network services. But unlike an HMO, they do not require members to obtain a referral before visiting a specialist.

Is Oscar made of gold?
The statuettes are solid bronze and plated in 24-karat gold. Due to a metal shortage during World War II, Oscars® were made of painted plaster for three years. Following the war, the Academy invited recipients to redeem the plaster figures for gold-plated metal ones.

Our Liberty Plan Gated EPO is an in-network only product and requires a referral for specialist visits. This plan is offered with the Liberty Network but also provides access to the national UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus Network when outside the Oxford service area.
Does Oscar cover dental?
Getting your teeth cleaned or a glasses prescription isn’t typically covered by your health insurance, so you may want to get separate insurance for those services. Please remember that Oscar does not offer dental insurance or vision insurance.
