Can I get a refund if it rains at Thorpe Park?
THORPE PARK Resort is predominately an outdoor attraction with many rides being outside. THORPE PARK Resort regrets that refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather.
What happens if it rains when you go to Thorpe Park?
Should it rain on your return visit, tickets will not be transferable and you will not be entitled to a further Island Return Guarantee. At select times of the year Thorpe Park may offer Afternoon Tickets.
Will Thorpe Park close rides if it’s raining?
Fortunately, Thorpe Park weather is as fickle as all English weather which means that even if rides have to close up for a while due to thunder or rain, they will likely be up and running again within the hour. During the winter months, the park remains closed.
What do you wear to Thorpe Park in the rain?
Bring the right jacket: Don’t rely on a poncho bought in the park to keep you dry. Come prepared with an appropriate rain jacket….This jacket should:
- Be waterproof.
- Not be too thick (unless you are visiting in the cooler winter months)
- Have a hood.
- Cover your rear end.

Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country will issue a rain check if the length of your visit is negatively impacted due to weather. Individual rain checks will be given when 1-Day tickets are presented at the Groups Booth. Rain checks MUST be obtained before leaving the park.
