- Position the commander. Find somewhere protected from rain and engine heat to mount the power commander.
- Connect to the battery. The power commander has one black 12v connector, which goes onto the black negative battery terminal.
- Connect to the injectors.
- Check and start the bike.
How long does it take to install a Power Commander?
Most installations take less than 15 minutes, some as little as 5 minutes, and our bikes as much as 2 hours. Changes are made to the bikes fuel via the PC’s onboard microprocessor. Using this technology the Power Commander offers a large area of adjustment without making any permanent changes to the bikes factory ECU.

To install a map on a Power Commander V fuel tuner, you will need to download the Dynojet Power Commander software using a Windows computer (or a Mac running Windows). Once you install the software, it is easy to download maps from the Dynojet.com website.
Can a Harley Davidson power commander be hooked up to a computer?
The great thing about the Power Commander V verses the Harley Davidson dealer standard EFI download is that with the PCV you can always hook it to a computer later and change a base map for free in the event you change pipes or air intake down the road.
