What is an ASIC 484 document?
If you need to notify the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) of any changes to your company details, you will need to fill out ASIC form 484. While a paper form is available, you can also submit it through an online portal. ASIC Form 484 is now commonly known as ‘Changes to Company Details’.
How do I lodge a form 484?
The paper Form 484 is no longer available.
- Register for online access using your company’s corporate key.
- Log in to our online services with your company’s ACN or ABN.
- Enter your username and password.
- Select ‘Start new form’ and select ‘Change to company details’
Can ASIC forms be signed electronically?
2.1. You may lodge a Document with us electronically by using our Lodgement Services and using a required electronic signature to submit a Document.
Can ASIC form 492 be lodged electronically?
Form 492 can only be lodged electronically if the original Form was lodged electronically. Please note: if the original form being corrected is a Form 201: the Form 492 must be lodged manually despite whether the Form 201 was lodged manually or electronically.
How do I issue new ASIC shares?
Start transaction
- Once logged in, select ‘Start new form’ in the left hand menu.
- From the list of available forms, select ‘484’.
- Select ‘Change to share structure’.
- If you are issuing or cancelling shares, you will also need to select ‘Change to members register’ at the same time.
- Select the ‘Reason for change’.

How long does it take ASIC to process a form 492?
28 days
Form 492 – Mistake Correction, is used to correct an error on a past lodgement submitted to ASIC. Processing of the correction by ASIC may take up to 28 days, so the change may not appear on the Company Profile straight away.
How much do I owe ASIC?
You need to be registered for online access before you can check your account balance. Once you’ve logged in, select ‘View company details’ from the left hand side. You can then select ‘Debtor details’, which will show the total amount due.
