How fast does crossbow herbicide work?
Crossbow Herbicide is an effective liquid solution that works well in rainfall after 2 hours and will begin to work immediately once it makes contact with undesired leaves foliage. Results can be seen within a matter of days after application.
Does crossbow herbicide drift?

Crossbow, a mixture of triclopyr and 2,4-D, can also provide control of certain woody plants as a 4% solution in diesel.

The amount of time it takes for the product to kill the plants that have been sprayed depend on the plant itself. Generally, it could take between 7-14 days for plants to wilt or die.

Use up to 1 1/2 gallons of Crossbow per acre in enough water to deliver 10 to 30 gallons of total spray per acre. Apply when weeds are actively growing. Best time for treatment of biennial and winter annual weeds is when the plants are in the rosette stage.

Mixing. Mix enough water with Crossbow concentrate to achieve a 1 percent solution by adding 1 1/3 ounces of Crossbow to 1 gallon of water. For a 1.5 percent solution to use on brush and stubborn weeds, mix 2 ounces of concentrate into 1 gallon of water.
Does crossbow need a surfactant?
Answer: Yes, we would highly recommend to mix in a surfactant with Crossbow Herbicide (although it is not required for most Crossbow applications). Our most popular is Southern Ag Nonionic Surfactant.
Does crossbow hurt trees?
Crossbow Can Kill Trees and Stumps Thin bark trees that are less than 6” in diameter can be treated by a basal bark application. This involves mixing Crossbow with an oil carrier and spraying to the outside of the trunk. To kill freshly cut stumps, use a brush to apply Crossbow concentrate directly to the stump.
