How does the i360 go up and down?
The tower has a moving observation pod which slides up and down the structure. The pod can take up to 200 passengers at a time. A return journey – known as a flight – takes 20 minutes. From the top visitors can get 360-degree views across Brighton, the South Downs and the English Channel.

Yes, you can purchase tickets from our Ticket Office, which is in a reconstructed tollbooth next to the attraction, or from our shop at beach level. Please note we cannot guarantee availability on the day and we advise you to book ahead, particularly during weekends and school holidays.

How long is the experience? The flight lasts around 25 minutes, but you will need to arrive at least 20 minutes before your flight time to pass through security. We have a gift shop, exhibition room and restaurant in our beachside building, should you wish to extend the experience.

How much does the i360 weigh?
The tower itself is 1,200 tonnes. The eagle-eyed among you will have clocked that the two do not add up. We are removing more than we are putting in. The chalk rock has been compacted by the great weight of shingle so as far as the chalk is concerned, our tower is going to feel like a feather.
Who paid for i360?
