The GS was faster than my KLR but on long trips it was no picnic. I own a bone stock 2009 KLR 650 and it will comfortably cruse at 80-85 all day long. Anything above that is stressing the bike, I say this because I notice a dramatic increase in oil usage and a decrese in gas milage.
