Does the military use surefire?
Just a note: the US military does not exclusively use Surefire lights. You can find all sorts of lights, ranging from x2 AA incan Mini-maglites to top-of-the-line Surefire weaponlights. There is not a single, standard issue flashlight.

Is SureFire or Streamlight better?
It has solid powerful light when I compared it to my SureFire M300 Mini Scout. The Streamlight ProTac is rated at 350 lumens compared to the SureFire at 300 lumens. However a quick read through the manual and I was able to put the light into a different mode on the first try (high output only).
Is olight or Streamlight better?
Olight is OK but the features such as the switch operation is not on par with the others. Olight Lumens output seems to be overstated. Overall Olight is a serviceable light for both applications but I would personally opt for Streamlight or Surefire. I have not tested any of these for claimed battery life.
