How do you accept offers on UCAS teacher training?
You must reply to your offers in your application. Any verbal or email communication with a training provider will not be considered formal decisions. You can accept a firm and an insurance choice. You’ll need to decline any other offers you have.
How long do you have to accept an offer on UCAS teacher training?
Applicants have ten working days to make a decision once they have received all of their offers. You must not contact applicants after making your offer to ask them for a reply.
How do you reply to UCAS offers?
To do this, click on ‘view’ for each outstanding choice and then you’ll have the option to ‘permanently withdraw from this choice. ‘ Once you’ve done this, the ‘reply to offers’ button will be available in the ‘Your choices’ section of Track.
What does firm acceptance mean on UCAS?
Firm acceptance – this is your first choice. If it’s an unconditional offer, the place is yours! So that course provider will expect you as their student. Or if it’s conditional, the place is yours if you meet the offer conditions.
Can I go through clearing if I have accepted an offer?
Yes! Clearing allows you to change your mind about where or what you study. What’s more, you can call us and discuss your options before you make any final decisions about an offer you have already accepted.
What happens when you accept a UCAS offer?
When you accept an offer you’re entering a contract – the university agrees to accept you if you meet their conditions (if there are any) and you agree to attend the course. This is why you need to be happy with the choices you accept.
What happens after I accept my uni offer?
By accepting an unconditional offer, you are committing to attend. Ucas will set you a deadline to reply to your offers. You reply to all your offers at once, including declining any offers that you don’t pick as your firm or insurance. You’ll usually have a few weeks to make your choices so use the time wisely.
Do I have to reject my offers to go through clearing?
You need to wait for that uni or college to either accept you in Clearing (Clearing Accept), so you can then decline this offer, or they can make you unsuccessful — and you can then use Clearing again.
Can I reject my firm choice and accept my insurance?
You can choose to not go to your firm (i.e not go to university at all, or apply through Clearing), but unfortunately this doesn’t mean you can just switch over to your insurance. Once your firm choice has been confirmed, your insurance disappears.
Is an unconditional offer good?
Either a conditional or unconditional offer is good news. A conditional offer means you still need to meet the requirements – usually exam results. An unconditional offer means you’ve got a place, although there might still be a few things to arrange.
