Are FCS Leashes good?
FCS’s Comp leash series are great for the surfer who doesn’t surf the biggest waves on a day-to-day basis. They’re made not so much for strength, but to be light, super comfortable, and relatively durable. Don’t use this one if you’re surfing waves over, say, 6-feet regularly.
How long of a surfboard leash do I need?
A leash should be equal in length to or slightly longer than the board it will be used on. This means that you should not be using the same leash on a shortboard as a longboard and vice versa. If your board is in-between sizes, we recommend you round up to the next closest size.
Can I use a 6ft leash on a 7ft board?
General rule: Go as long as your board length. A general rule when choosing your surfboard leash is that it should be the same length (or slightly longer if your board is in-between sizes) as the board its being used on. For example, if your surfboard is 6’0, use a 6’0 leash. If it’s 6’6 Surfboard, grab a 7’0 Leash.
Do surfboards have leashes?

Can you install a leash plug?
Just take a hole saw a teeny bit bigger than the leash cup and drill the hole out (not right through of course) then mix some qcell or make your own resin mixture and pour it in put the leash cup in and clean the excess away. VOILA – 10 minute job easy peasy.
