What is the Arshas?

Arsha (piles) is a condition in which a fleshy mass of variable size, shape and colour appears (due to varicosity of veins) in the anus. From the treatment point of view, Arsha may be divided into two groups viz. Shushkarsh (Dry piles) and sravi Arsh (exudating piles).

What is the reason for Arshas?

Other factors which trigger Arshas are improper toilet habits, sedentary work style or strenuous work, prolonged periods of standing or sitting, prolonged travelling on two wheelers and overweight.

How do you treat Arshas?

  1. Treating hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids, sometimes called piles, are swollen veins in your anus and rectum.
  2. Witch hazel. Witch hazel can reduce both itching and pain, two main symptoms of hemorrhoids.
  3. Aloe vera.
  4. Warm bath with Epsom salt.
  5. Over-the-counter ointments.
  6. Soothing wipes.
  7. Cold compresses.
  8. Stool softeners.

How long do piles last for?

There is no set duration for hemorrhoids. Small hemorrhoids may clear up without any treatment within a few days. Large, external hemorrhoids may take longer to heal and can cause significant pain and discomfort. If hemorrhoids have not resolved within a few days, it is best to see a doctor for treatment.

Do piles go away?

Piles will usually go away on their own but, if they don’t, you might need to have a procedure to deal with the problem. There are some treatments that you’ll need to go into hospital for as an out-patient. This means you can have the treatment and go home the same day.

Can piles cause death?

Haemorrhoids can cause a great deal of irritation, discomfort and pain. Symptoms associated with them can be alarming, especially in the case of rectal bleeding or thrombosed haemorrhoids. However, it’s highly unlikely that haemorrhoids will result in death, unless another condition flares up simultaneously.

Which food avoid in piles?

Foods with little fiber can cause or make constipation (and therefore hemorrhoids) worse, so it’s best to limit how much you eat of them.

  • White bread and bagels.
  • Milk, cheese, and other dairy.
  • Meat.
  • Processed foods such as frozen meals and fast food.
