What’s the difference between SunTour XCM and XCR?
For starters, there’s the 120mm (4.7in) travel fork. The Suntour XCR is a significant step up from the XCM, with 32mm stanchions (versus 30mm on the XCM) and better damped internals. Bigger stanchions add stiffness, and in the XCR’s case it’s a difference you can really feel.

What’s the stiffness of a Suntour XCM Fork?
XCM’s stiffness is decent, allowing just enough movement for the component to surpass it’s estimated lifespan. Stiffness when braking turned out better than in the case of most 26 inch forks, indicating a value of 239.1 Nm/degree, which is even more surprising given that the arms measure 30mm, instead of the regular 32mm.
