Do MOD police carry guns?

What’s the difference between MOD police and normal police?
We are not ‘military police’. Unlike our Service Police colleagues, with whom we also work closely, our officers’ jurisdiction can extend outside the Defence estate, and we have full powers and privileges of constables, identical to other civil police officers in the UK.
Are MOD police civil servants?

How long is MDP training?
The residential course lasts 18 weeks for new recruits and 9 weeks for new entrants from other police forces (NEOF), with the exception of NEOFs appointed for roles in Crime Command and as National Firearms Instructors, where the MDP training period will be much shorter.
Can police have beards?
Beards and goatees are permitted, but must be neat, clean and well maintained to present a professional appearance. Beard and goatee facial hair shall not exceed one half inch (1/2”) in length, must be accompanied by a mustache, and is contiguous with no designs shaved into it. The neck area is to be clean-shaven.
