Reservations: Due to the busy summer season, reservations are highly recommended for summer weekends and summer holidays. The campsites at Lake Perris are Site Specific. This means that when you make a reservation, you are reserving a specific site number.

RVs are not allowed in tent-only campsites. These sites only have space for tents and, in many cases, the parking is a short distance away from the campsite (and you’re required to camp in the campsite).
Where can I set up a tent for free?
Bureau of Land Management lands and Forest Service lands, for the most part, allow dispersed camping for up to 14 days. Wildlife Management Areas also often allow it, but check and make sure that you don’t need a permit/there are no restrictions. Remeber to keep an eye out for “no camping signs”, too.
