Are there bears in Farragut State Park?
A diverse biological community exists in this scenic forest setting of lodgepole pine, ponderosa pine, white pine, Douglas fir, poplar, western larch and grand fir. The forests are home to whitetail deer, squirrels, black bears, coyotes and bobcats.

A $7.00/$14.00 Motor Vehicle Entrance Fee (MVEF) is required for every vehicle entering Idaho State Parks (including visitors to campers). All campsite and facility use fees accommodate one (1) vehicle MVEF per night stayed. Any additional MVEF and per person charges will be collected at the park.

This area is the deepest part of Lake Pend Oreille reaching a depth of over 1,000 ft. Much of the shoreline is uninhabited. The field to the right of the picture is part of Farragut State Park where the Farragut Naval Training Base hospital was located.
Does Farragut State Park have hookups?
Farragut State Park Waldron campground has 69 large and spacious campsites (all with electric hookups) and is located close to the southern tip of Lake Pend Oreille. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Many of the sites have electric hookups. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate.

The first on my list is named Gilmore Campground. It is the most developed with paved roads, campsite parking and even paths. Each of the 43 sites comes with electrical and water hookups. 5 of the sites are companion sites.
