The SR is a box engine design with an 86x86mm bore and stroke, while the KA is an undersquare with a 89×96. 0mm. Due to its short stroke, the SR can turn considerably higher RPM speeds than the KA. Bigger motor means bigger power, that is, unless you have boost (more on that later).

Anyways, SR20’s are just as reliable as the KA. I use to commute about 30 miles one way daily with my first SR. Six years later and in the hands of my nephew now it’s still running strong. He dd’s it at 14 psi.

you can only drift a ka24 when its in an altima. those are natural drift cars with no mods at all. just pull the e-brake handle. you might need to find some trays at wendies to stick under the back wheels tho.

How much HP can a KA24DE handle?

^ the stock motor can handle 509whp ( Not proven by Back Yark Productions) but dyno proven somewhere in the 440whp. Reliably your looking at around 300-350whp. Personally i wouldnt go over 280whp or over 10-11psi on a medium sized turbo.
