A: We started in 1989 and are 70% complete. While we have gained significant momentum over these 30 years, we are now left with the harder gaps — the “low hanging fruit” has been picked. The path begins in Santa Fe Springs on the North fork of the Coyote Creek and extends south into Long Beach where it joins the San Gabriel River bicycle path at the trail bridge just South of Willow Street/Katella Avenue. Coyote Creek separates Los Angeles County and Orange County.

Is Mt Diablo dog friendly?
Dogs are allowed only in developed areas of the park. They must be kept on a leash during the day and in an enclosed vehicle or tent at night. Dogs are NOT permitted on trails, fire roads or in park buildings. Many visitors to Mount Diablo head straight for the Summit to enjoy the famous view.
