The Nexus Center is a specialized department solely dedicated to connecting students and grads to jobs, internships, career development, applied learning, and other opportunities. Our goal is to support students individually throughout their education at Farmingdale and beyond.
Who is Shane Flanagan at Farmingdale State College?
Shane Flanagan will help oversee all programs at Farmingdale State College. Currently, the Athletics Director at the Waldorf School in Garden City, along with being a Phys Ed teacher and coach for Soccer, Softball and Golf. Shane graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS from Adelphi University and also earned a Master’s Degree from LIU Post.

We have just completed a 14-6-3 season, which was rewarded with our 12th NCAA BID in the past 13 years, as well as Farmingdale being ranked 6th in the East region. In 2018, for the first time, we had a top-25 national ranking by the United Soccer Coaches.
