Leonard was no quitter and he told himself that. He felt he had to succeed in spreading the word of Jesus. In 1984 Leonard began work on his new project and it became the pinnacle of his life’s purpose. He called it “Salvation Mountain.” The mountain was started with a bucket, some adobe clay and water.
