Are Downdraught extractors any good?
Downdraft extractor fans often have a reputation as not working as effectively as other methods of extraction; however recent models have become much better at removing odours, steam and grime when cooking with improved design and more powerful extraction rates.
How do Downdraught extractors work?
Downdraft extractors work by drawing back steam and smells horizontally across the top of the pots and pans on your hob. The extracted air passes through grease filters and is then either vented out via ducting or recirculated back into your kitchen after passing through carbon filters to remove the smells.
Do recirculating extractors work?
