Who owns the Metroparks in Michigan?
The Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority (HCMA) is the body that administers the Metropark system and is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners. Two members are selected by the state governor and the other five members are selected, one from each of the five member counties.

Where do I put the Metropark pass?
All motor vehicles must obtain and have affixed to the vehicle, a valid Metropark motor vehicle permit. This permit must be completely affixed with its own adhesive to the lower left hand corner of the windshield (taping to windshield is prohibited), except for motorcycles.

Bathrooms are open in the parks. Our drinking fountains are turned off due to proper disinfecting between uses being difficult.
Is alcohol permitted at Kensington Metropark?
A permit is required. No alcoholic beverages permitted in the area. Swimming is permitted only at park beaches on Kent Lake. You may bring in your own firewood or purchase firewood from the Kensington Park Office during office hours.
Can you bring alcohol to Metro Beach?
Damaging, disturbing, or removing any part of the Park District, including plants, tree limbs, rocks, and leaves, is prohibited. Alcoholic beverages may not be consumed or transported in the Park District. Camping, climbing, and rappelling are permitted only in designated areas, and with a permit.
Is alcohol allowed in Oakland County Parks?
9. No person shall enter or use the ORV Park without obtaining and displaying a valid ORV Park vehicle entry permit and a Michigan ORV License and Trail Permit. No person shall possess or consume an alcoholic beverage at any time in the ORV Park, including parking lots.
