Is GABA A good company to work for?
Great way to get into Japan, but not a long-term job fit for full-time position. The company is wonderful if you need a flexible schedule or a side job. You don’t have COMPLETE control of your schedule like a freelancer would. Plus, the amount instructors get paid compared to what clients are charged is very unfair.

Training is OK – but it’s nothing to do with teaching but everything to do with boosting GABA’s sales. You don’t get paid for unbooked lessons. Most of the time you’ll be seating in the office waiting to be booked. Flexible schedule, If you need a visa to Japan, Some of the long-term instructors are supportive.
What kind of job can you get at Gaba?
As an instructor, work is relatively straightforward and fulfilling if you have previous experience tutoring and are self motivated to have your clients learn English. Individuals who are new to positions in education/tutoring also have a good chance at gaining some experience at GABA.

Fast paced and competitive English School. Gaba corporation was the way I initially managed to begin work in Japan. Because the contract type is Independent Contractor and not a full time employee, you need to put in a lot of hours to afford basic necessities of life and meet the requirement for visa sponsorship.
