KA24E is a single cam motor and KA24DE is a dual overhead cam. The KA24DE has more horsepower and torque. The KA24E has higher compression ratio. The tranmissions and alot of the accessories are the same.

How much power can a CA18DET handle?
Yep no issues. – Probably 400-450 if you have everything spot on.
Will a KA24DE head fit on a KA24E block?
It can be done, but its not going to be just a simple head swap. Physically the head will bolt onto the block, but the timing cover won’t align, compression is way to high for pump gas on the stock tune, and piston to valve clearance will have to be worked out.
