Can I apply to UC for free?
UC will waive application fees for up to four campuses for qualified students who would otherwise be unable to apply for admission. The fee waiver program is for United States citizens, permanent residents, and applicants eligible for AB540 benefits.
Does UC use common app?
Many institutions use the Common Application service as part of their admissions process. UC Merced students that are applying to institutions that require the Common Application will be required to provide information about their academic record to the application.
Is UC Santa Barbara test blind?
UCSB will not consider SAT or ACT test scores when making admissions decisions or awarding Regents and Chancellor’s scholarships for applicants through the fall 2024 application cycle. Students have the option to send SAT or ACT test scores, but those scores will not be used in admissions selection.
Do all UC have the same application?
All UC campuses use the same undergraduate application.
How many UCS should I apply to?
One application. Students may apply to as many UC undergraduate campuses as they like with just one application.
What GPA do you need for UC?
3.0 GPA
UC has a specific way to calculate the grade point average (GPA) it requires for admission. California applicants must earn at least a 3.0 GPA and nonresidents must earn a minimum 3.4 GPA in all A-G or college-preparatory courses to meet this requirement.
Can I get into a UC with AC?
You need to complete a minimum of 15 college-preparatory courses (A-G courses) with a letter grade of C or better. For courses completed during Winter 2020 through summer 2021, UC will also accept a grade of CR (credit) and P (pass).
