A bushfire that was threatening lives and homes in Toodyay has been downgraded overnight. The fire was reported at 4.42pm near the intersection of Toodyay Road and Strahan Road, and authorities quickly upgraded the fire to an emergency warning, but it was contained and controlled before midnight on Wednesday.
