How do you cook Carnitas del Real?
MICROWAVE
- In a microwave safe tray/plate heat on high for 1.5 minutes, rotate the pouch 1/2 turn, puncture 2 small holes in the pouch, and cover with a paper towel.
- Heat on high an additional 3 minutes until center is hot(165 degrees). Let stand for 2 minutes.

These tamales were excellent. They arrived today, a week early. They were so flavorful with a hit of pepper. Very definite a New Mexico taste.
Is Kirkland pulled pork good?
Kirkland pulled pork is a veritable bargain, just $10.99 for a full 32 oz. package (and you’re on your own for sauce). Costco’s pre-packaged barbecue is a reasonable approximation of the real thing, but not a full time substitute. Both packages of meat come out of the microwave oozing melted fat from the packaging.
Is the pulled pork at Costco good?
To me this looked and tasted like a really fatty cheap ham or even spam cooked and pulled apart. It also does not really have a barbecue sauce with it so if you like barbecue sauce-y pulled pork you need to add your own. It’s quite salty as well so sodium watchers look out.
