Does Speedball screen printing ink go bad?
Great question! Speedball guarantees all our inks for two years. However, if stored properly the ink should remain usable beyond that period. Good luck!
Does Speedball ink need to be cured?
Speedball Screen Printing ink offers great coverage, smooth workability, and easy cleanup. After printing on fabric your ink will dry, but you still need to “cure” your ink to the fabric, also known as heat setting. Speedball water-based fabric inks can be cured by using a household iron.
Does Speedball ink wash out?
Like I mentioned in my original ink review, though, there is a little fading at the beginning. Don’t be surprised when the intensity of the print’s color is not as deep after you first wash it. In my experience, after that initial fading, the ink’s permanence holds up over the years.
Can you mix Speedball ink colors?
If you have the primary ink colors from Speedball, you can expand your color options by simply mixing the inks together. You can mix enough to make one or two shirts or mix your favorite colors in bulk. The inks store well in an air-tight container so you can use them as needed.

Colors will dry to the touch overnight. Allow 7 days for ink to fully cure before washing and drying.
Is Speedball ink plastisol?
The Speedball plastisol ink comes in a wide range of vibrant colors to choose from, and it comes in a set. Speedball’s fabric printing ink sits best on light-colored fabrics but also does well with dark-colored ones as well.
How do you know if photo emulsion is bad?
If the emulsion doesn’t perform like it used to and you increase your times and still can’t get a good burn, then most likely it’s bad. You can place the emulsion in a refrigerator to make it last longer.
Is Speedball ink non toxic?

How long do you cure speedball ink?
Speedball recommends 24-48 hours. I am usually trying to get shirts done the night before I need them. Personally, I haven’t had any problems with heat setting them after less than 24 hours of drying.
