The GTO is faster. 40 more hp and 270 lbs lighter. The G8 should handle better than a stock GTO, but not a pedderized GTO.

The GTO might be a bit faster but with the G8 you have a better platform for modifications. The L76 has L92 heads, alot better suspension and more body rigidity then the GTO. , mine weighed in at 3814 lb and thats with the spare tire and tools in the trunk.
