Can you stretch your ears with spiral tapers?
At the larger gauge sizes, some people use heavier steel spiral, coil, or hanger tapers as weights. While weights give a unique look for larger gauged ears, we highly suggest wearing them conservatively, never for stretching purposes.
How long do you leave ear stretchers in?
Because of the fact that everyone’s body reacts differently, this answer varies. It is recommended that you wait at least 6 weeks in between stretches. This will give your earlobes time to heal up and become a little loose. However, we recommend that you wait 2-6 months between each stretch.
What are ear hangers?
The simple answer is that ear hangers are hanging earrings for stretched ears which do not weigh much more than a pair of standard earrings would weigh. Flesh plugs and tunnels sit inside the ear lobe and ‘ear hangers’ are designs which hang down. Ear weights come in a range of weights and sizes.
Are acrylic ear tapers bad?
Acrylic is not safe to wear in a fresh stretch so be sure to transfer to steel or glass plugs. Stone tapers are not to be used for stretching at all. They are only for wearing in healed stretches as jewelry because they are porous and can carry too much bacteria.
Can I sleep in spiral tapers?
The plugs should be ok to sleep in. I have 2 other glass spirals and I only wear on special occasions since they are heavy. My daughter does wear them when she sleeps with no problems.
