Can I search UK census records for free?
Historic census forms from 1841-1911 are available to view free on site at the National Archives in Kew (http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/). Current Government policy is that the UK Statistics Authority should retain all census returns from the 1921 Census onwards, for 100 years.
