Can you use freezer boilies straight away?
For many carp and specimen anglers, freezer baits are still a favourite choice of boilies. We offer freezer baits for all our hero range of boilies from The Source to Red Amo and like many freezer baits these can be used straight after drying out when your on bank and are full of fish attracting qualities.

Can you freeze fishing boilies?
Logically speaking there should be no problem in re-freezing baits so long as they haven’t already been out of the freezer for too long in the first place. Continual re-freezing could well make the baits hard, or soft and crumbly if left in the bag with moisture and therefore potentially unusable.
Do you have to air dry frozen boilies?
On short sessions this is perfect, as the baits will still remain fresh and fairly soft for use within your fishing and perfect for the carp to eat. “To make your baits last longer whilst on the bank for longer periods of time, it is still important to air-dry your baits, letting them receive as much air as possible.
How do you defrost frozen boilies?
First of all take them out of the freezer, and ensure that all the excess ice has been removed. You can do this by putting them in an air dry bag and shake them until all the exterior ice has gone. Next, lay them out on a towel or towels, ensuring that they are not heaped-up on top of each other.
Do you have to soak boilies?
You now want to give the liquid and boilies a good mixing before leaving them to soak for at least 24hrs. It’s well worth giving them a good mix every couple of hours if you can. After a 24hr period, pour off the liquid and bottle it up so you can reuse it for next time.
How long can you keep frozen boilies?
Fresh frozen boilies, if transported in the same plastic bags as they were purchased, won’t last for much more than three or four days (dependent upon the weather) before they show signs of starting to deteriorate.
Why are shelf life boilies banned?
Meaning that if the Carp don’t eat them the smaller fish and microbes etc can. This process takes a lot longer for shelf life’s with baits simply sitting on the bottom for a long period. As a result we are now banning the use of all shelf life boilies effective from 01 January 2018.
Can you freeze boilie crumb?
These must be stored in the freezer, if you want harder baits leave them out to dry for between 10-14 hrs and then freeze them.

Why do people air dry boilies?
There are other reasons you might want to air-dry your baits at home, either because you don’t have space to store them in a freezer, or you prefer to transport them this way on a long journey. In both instances, the boilies can be re-hydrated at the venue if you wish to soften them up again before fishing with them.
