Can you screw Aquapanel?
AQUAPANEL® Maxi Screws can be used for both wall and ceiling applications in interior and exterior applications. AQUAPANEL® Maxi Screw SN has been specially developed for fixing AQUAPANEL® Cement Board on to timber and metal frameworks (metal thick- ness from 0.6 to 0.7 mm).
Can I use 6mm Aquapanel on walls?

Can you use aqua board on the floor?
As an inorganic cement board, AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Floor Tile Underlay is resistant to water or mildew and is therefore perfectly suited for wet and humid floors. It also helps to ensure an even and seamless transition between tiles and carpet, and avoids the need to adapt or replace thresholds.
What is the thickness of Aquapanel?

Delivery exclusions apply. AQUAPANEL® Floor Tile Underlay is made from tough Portland cement and has a coated fibre mesh embedded in the core. At only 6mm thick, room height is not compromised.
What are cement board screws?
Cement Board Screws are designed for attaching HardieBacker or equivalent fiber cement backerboard to wood or light gauge steel studs. Backer-On’s patented serrated head design countersinks for flush seating at any angle, providing a smooth surface for tile.
Can you paint over Aquapanel?
The Knauf AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Outdoor, once taped and jointed, may be left exposed for up to 6 months before a render basecoat and reinforcing mesh must be applied as aminimum – this cannot be left un-rendered indefinitely and is not suitable for direct painting.
How do you stick Aquapanel to wall?
Apply a 50 – 75mm wide tile adhesive band around the board edge. Then apply dabs on the surface of AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Indoor. Aside the board edges closer than the middle. Alternatively you can apply the band and dabs directly to the wall.
Can you tile directly onto Aquapanel?
AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Indoor (according DIN EN-12467) As a standard it is possible to apply tiles – without taking further measures – with a max. weight up to 50 kg/m² in the interiors and a tile size up to 600 mm x 600 mm. Set studs at maximum 625 (600) mm for horizontal and vertical installation of the boards.
How do you seal an Aquapanel joint?
WHEN USING AQUAPANEL IN SHOWERS, WET ROOMS OR STEAM ROOMS YOU HAVE TO SEAL THE JOINTS WITH A WATERPROOF JOINTING TAPE. I USE AND HAVE ONLY EVER USED “WEDI” TAPE. IT IS USED WITH WEDI BOARD USUALLY IN WET ROOMS etc.
Can Aquapanel be fixed directly to a wall?
Wall cladding If a direct application to the wall using adhesive dabs or gluing isn´t possible – because the surface is too uneven or old plaster that should not be removed, or to create space for thermal or sound insulation – AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Indoor can be fixed by using a treated timber or metal substructure.
Does Aquapanel need priming?
For Knauf AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Floor Tile Underlay, this is a requirement. Priming with this product is needed when applying heavier tiles between 51 and 120kg as per a complete Knauf system specification.
Do you need 38mm clearance for Wickes Aquapanel?
Advice please, on wickes Aquapanel for shower enclosure. I’ve read the wickes Good Ideas on Aquapanel – it doesn’t go into much detail. You also need a 38mm clearance behind the aqua board. I also wouldn’t screw aquaboard to batten……they will get wet and rot if there is a problem.
