Does ATT work in Turkey?
You probably don’t want to use AT roaming. It does work but the Turkish providers are going to hit you up with some pretty beafy data fees. Getting a local SIM card is prefered. Your AT iPhone should support GSM bands and a SIM card, but there are a couple bariers.

There is no work around with AT. Turkey doesn’t allow wifi calling either. If you’re going to be out of the US for two or three years you should have closed out your accounts including your cellular account because you cannot use it from outside of the United States.
