As a UIC Summer College student, you’ll get individualized attention in small classes taught by experienced instructors. You’ll improve your skills in math, writing, creative arts, computer literacy, science, studying and note-taking, and more.
How many credits can you take in the summer UIC?
Maximum Credit Hours Undergraduate students can register for up to 12 total credit hours–either as a combination of courses taken in the 4-week and 8-week sessions, or just courses taken in the 8-week session. Graduate students can take up to 20 credit hours over the summer.
When can I register for summer classes UIC?

Current UIC students You do not have to apply to take summer courses; you register for summer courses at the same time as when you register for fall courses. Registration for 2021 summer courses begins March 29. Time Tickets are available for viewing mid-March.
Can you graduate in the summer UIC?
Graduation Degree Certification can occur during any semester (i.e., Fall, Spring, or Summer). Attendance at Commencement is not automatic and not required to graduate. Commencement is a ceremony in which students may participate for the purpose of celebrating the completion of an academic degree program.
