Dining Dollars are a part of your meal plan and can be used to buy additional meals, snacks, or mini mart items in retail dining locations. Dining Dollars will be added to your account in two installments: one at the beginning of the Fall semester, and the second installment at the beginning of the Spring semester.

Room & board is defined as on-campus college housing that is accompanied by a meal plan. Some colleges require incoming freshmen to sign up for room & board for their first year or two of college, but it is often an option available for any student throughout their four years.

All first-entry students living on campus are required to have a meal plan unless they are assigned to University Towers. Students assigned to this residence hall are required to have a University Towers plan and can supplement it with an optional NC State Commuter/Apartment plan for on-campus dining.
