In December 2019, Amos was appointed parliamentary secretary to the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry. Before entering politics, Amos was a lawyer for Ecojustice Canada, a lecturer at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, and director of the uOttawa Ecojustice Environmental Law Clinic.
