MH4U is probably my favourite game in the Monster Hunter Series so far, so I just have to recommend it. The offline quests are very well paced, and you encounter a lot of fun monsters to solo.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is the best one imo and the most complete. Monster Hunter Stories is also excellent from the little I have played so far (5 hours or so), it is a JRPG which is a complete genre shift but it is easily the best looking game of the bunch.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate doesn’t seem to have major graphical or audio issues on Citra in most areas, and you can finish the game. However, some cutscenes are completely blurry due to gas rendering issue.
