How do you turn on a Marshall amp?
To begin using your amplifier, connect the speaker lead to the cabinet and head. If using a combo, ensure the speaker lead is connected to its socket on the back panel. Connect the power lead and plug your amplifier into the mains. Switch Standby on and then turn on the Power.
Do tube amps need to break in?
Tubes do not have any break-in time per my experience. However, coupling capacitors in the preamp do have a break-in time in-between 50 to 200+ hours. As time goes by you should notice a refinement in sound.
How do you turn off a Marshall amp?
To switch ‘off’ your amplifier, switch Standby ‘on’ and then the mains switch ‘off’. There is no need for a delay between these two operations. We recommend leaving your amplifier to cool down for a minimum of 10 minutes before moving.
