5.0 out of 5 stars Great Driver, Especially For The Price. The Alpine Type X is a beast of a subwoofer. I’ve stuck with alpine when it comes to subwoofers for awhile now because they always seem to make a great quality product whether it be the R or the X both subs are great.
Is Alpine Type X better than Type R?
You can make 2 12″ Type R’s louder than 2 10″ Type X’s, providing the box is designed right, but the Type X’s will hit the lows much much better. The Type X’s will still get very loud (probably just as loud as the Type R’s) and they will sound better too (IMO).
