Is the National Gallery of Australia free?
You need a free general entry ticket to visit the Gallery. Your ticket gives you access to all non-paid exhibitions and galleries. We recommend booking your ticket in advance online. Our staff at the front desk can help if you prefer to book your ticket in person.

How long do you need in the National Gallery?
Visiting National Gallery Recommended visiting time is around three to four hours, but you may need and/or want to reserve the entire day for exploring the galleries in their entirety. Photography throughout the National Gallery is usually allowed, but for personal and non-commercial purposes only.
Is parking free at the National Gallery Canberra?
Paid parking applies on weekdays and weekends until 5pm in the main carpark. Limited mobility parking is available in both carparks free of charge – learn how to validate your ticket here. Note that assisted lift access to the Gallery is available only from the underground carpark.

Where to pay for parking at Canberra Museum?
If the licence plate is unable to be read, take a ticket and use this to pay upon exit. Disabled car parks are located behind Canberra Museum and Gallery and in the Constitution Avenue car park. There are a number of other car parking options available to Canberra Museum and Gallery patrons.
