The dining hall is open 13 hours per day during the week and limited hours during the weekend for your dining pleasure. The dining hall boasts a wide range of delicious entrees, full salad bar, deli, dessert bar, grill and a full line of beverages. Residents living in traditional halls are required to have a meal plan.

FLEX Dollars may be used at any of the dining locations at CMU, including the food court, coffee shops, markets, national brands, and residential restaurants. If FLEX Dollars start to run low, additional FLEX Dollars can be purchased any time throughout the semester to reload your existing meal membership or FLEX Pass.

Our meal plans are 100% declining balance meal points. All of our dining centers on campus are al-a-carte so you are only paying for the food you eat. All of our dining centers display the price for each item so you know exactly how much you will be paying for each meal.

Does CMU have a pool?
Carnegie Mellon’s swimming and diving pool is a practice space for varsity swimming and diving teams, as well as a recreational space for the campus community. The 25-yard pool offers eight lanes, a separate diving well with two one-meter and two three-meter diving boards, and a cool-down area for swimmers.

The Fitness Center is a 12,500-square foot space located on the main level of the Student Activity Center and is equipped with various types of cardio equipment, selectorized weight lifting equipment, free weights, and a stretching area.
