The Duke’s Archives, also called the Regal Archives, is a location in Dark Souls. It can be reached by going through a large hall in Anor Londo (the one with two Sentinels, a chest, and a Mimic), and running past the Sentinel on the balcony, after the Lordvessel has been placed.
How do I navigate the Duke’s Archives?
To get to the Duke’s Archives, you need to turn left instead of going straight from the first Bonfire in Anor Londo. You’ll have to kill a Sentinel to take the stairs up to an earthen path leading up. The trail ends in a gateway which is inaccessible unless you have obtained and placed the Lordvessel.
Should I place the Lordvessel?
The Lordvessel must be placed in Firelink Altar, to gain access to the areas sealed by the Great Lord. The Lordvessel can also be placed by jumping into the hole in Firelink Shrine, after you obtain it, but at the expense of betraying both of the Serpents.
How do you get the Fire Keeper Soul in Duke’s archive?
At the very bottom of the prison tower in the Duke’s Archives is a locked door, inside of which is the Fire Keeper Soul. You’ll know you’re in the right area if there are octopus monsters. Sadly, you won’t have the key when you reach this area, as you don’t get it until much later in the level.

Availability. Found in the Grand Archives, on top of a bookshelf on the right wing of the building.
Can you warp to second bonfire in Duke’s archives?
When you want or need to go back to the Prison bonfire in The Duke’s Archives, there is a quick, direct route. Just remember that you can’t Warp to or from the Prison bonfire, so you’ll have to run back out at some point.
When can you summon dukes archives?
Dukes is one. Even though you can set a sign as soon as you ride that first elevator up, you wont actually be able to summon for the real boss fight until you face him the first time. The other big one is New Londo.
